PROVEN SYSTEM HELPS TRANSFORM COMPANY'S ACCOUNTING METHODS TO SUPPORT TOTAL
LEAN EFFORT
New York… Although many companies have moved from mass production to
lean, they have not properly integrated accounting and finance. The result has
been financial functions that not only lag behind the lean initiative, but
actually hinder it. To sustain lean long term, however, accounting, control and
measurement systems within an organization must support the lean transformation.
In Productivity Press' new Practical Lean Accounting -- A Proven System
for Measuring and Managing the Lean Enterprise, authors Brian Maskell
and Bruce Baggaley provide CFOs, controllers, accounting staff and general
managers (who use key financial information to control their processes), with an
accounting system that supports lean. The authors' step-by-step method
transforms the accounting system by following the company's path through each
stage of lean implementation.
A simple and easy-to-understand case study runs throughout the text
illustrating the lean accounting transformation within the context of the total
lean enterprise. A CD-ROM is included, containing a comprehensive lean
accounting diagnostic, detailed forms and diagrams supporting the transformation
to lean accounting.
List price is $50.00. Complimentary review copies are available to media contacts by calling
(212) 216-7865 or by e-mailing: leon.carter@taylorandfrancis.com.
